City of Charlotte HNS: Queen City Crash Course: Tools & Resources for Neighborhood Leadership

October 10, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Neighborhoods are the heart and foundation of our city, though great places don’t happen by chance. Our community is defined and fortified by the thousands of volunteers that commit time and treasure to taking care of their homes, caring for neighbors, building fellowship and improving the places we call home. Residents who dedicate themselves to lead in their neighborhoods—whether in an official capacity or not—are what make Charlotte a Winning City.

New and experienced leaders are invited to join us to learn about how the City partners with neighborhoods to help them be successful. Topics will include:

-How do you make sense of the Charlotte City government?

-Training opportunities to help neighbors help neighbors.

-What resources does the City provide to help me help my neighborhood?

-How can we engage neighborhood youth?

A light dinner will be provided. Parking is available in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center Deck.
